🎤 Peter Husemeyer, Co-Founder and CTO of Sportable
About the topic:
Join us for an interactive introduction to machine learning. This session will focus on Artificial Neural Networks, particularly the Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP). We’ll explore how MLPs act as universal function approximators, learning from labelled data through supervised learning. With hands-on examples and accessible explanations, this session is designed to make machine-learning concepts clear and engaging.
About the speaker:
Peter is passionate about sports, technology and engineering. Before co-founding Sportable in 2016, Pete completed engineering degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Mechanics and Nuclear Engineering. He also has a PhD in Space Nuclear Engineering from Cambridge University. While at Cambridge, Pete spent four years working for NASA Marshall Space Flight Centre and the Centre for Space Nuclear Research based at Idaho National Labs. He now applies his passion for sports and problem-solving as Chief Innovation Officer and member of the board for Sportable.
