Elena’s passion for empowering young people through AI and technology is at the heart of everything we do at Teens in AI, and we’re thrilled to bring her expertise to this global event.
AI Ethics Lab: From Concepts to Real-World Applications
With a 230-strong attendance, the session focused on the ethical dilemmas in AI. Through engaging discussions and interactive team activities, participants explored real-world scenarios to foster critical thinking and ethical awareness. It concluded with a hands-on activity, where participants trained an AI model to recognise different types of waste, providing practical experience in AI applications.
Elena lead this virtual mentoring session, where she shared insights from her journey in AI, innovation, and youth empowerment. This session was a unique opportunity for young participants to gain knowledge from one of the most influential figures in AI education. Her mentorship inspired and equipped participants with the tools they need to create meaningful change.

31 October: Winners announced at the Global MIL Week Conference in Amman, Jordan
As part of the curriculum, Teens in AI will deliver a training module during the event, offering participants even more resources to fuel their innovation.

UNESCO Youth Hackathon
The Youth Hackathon is an integral component of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week. It offers a global stage for youth participation and engagement, aiming to harness innovation and youth-led initiatives to respond to the Week’s theme, in particular the growing role of digital content creators and influencers in the information landscape; and the challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
