Building the UAE AI pioneers of tomorrow
Teens from across the UAE participated in a cross-school hackathon which culminated in a Demo Day at Ai Everything x GITEX! This partnership was a first of its kind in the region aimed at inspiring young people into the fields of AI and tech.
The final days of the programme included a range of activities from interactive mentor sessions, inspirational talks, and various workshops focused on the fundamentals of business, programming, responsible AI and design thinking to highlight just a few.

How we made it happen
The programme’s objective was to nurture an ecosystem in support of the country’s vision to become a leader in AI while also fostering diversity and inclusivity in the field. The programme was piloted with a single school before being rolled out to several schools who participated in a 5-week long hackathon where both students and teachers alike received training on the core principles of AI ethics, design thinking, coding and business.This programme reached over 300 participants in its second phase. A great feat for Teens in AI, the youth of the UAE and AI Everything x Gitex.
